Surety Bond Associates is dedicated to
assisting small, women and minority owned, and other qualified businesses apply
for surety bonds. Through our affiliation with the Small Business
Administration (SBA); various public agencies; and our surety partners, we
provide access to the following services:
guarantees bonds up to $2,000,000 issued by surety companies
for construction, service and supply contracts, and reimburses the surety for a
percentage of the loss if the contractor defaults. Surety Bond Associates can
help eligible small contractors qualify for lucrative contracting opportunities
who could not otherwise compete in the traditional marketplace.
- Surety Bond Associates develops and administers bonding
assistance programs for government agencies that are designed to eliminate the
systemic barriers that prevent small contractors from accessing the financial
resources necessary to compete in public sector construction, while
simultaneously assisting local government achieve their economic development
goals by creating a vibrant, sustainable local construction community. Through
a combination of outreach; education on bonding; and construction financial
management "best practices" training; Surety Bond Associates prepares
contractors to become bondable and assists them in increasing their bonding
capacity.
- Approximately 80% of failed projects stem from
cash flow problems, mismanagement of project funds, and diversion of project
funds to non-project purposes. Surety Bond Associates offers contractors access
to the leading funds disbursement providers in the surety industry, which
enhance a contractor's ability to qualify for both bonding and project
financing.
